I think the safties on my autos are pretty good. I have revolver that has no safety at all. I have a .38 spec colt agent and I don’t think it even has a safety.
The 14 lb double action trigger pull is the safety.
I have a 38 special with no safety too.

I have a 1st gen agent made in 1955. The finish looks like it rode around in someones pocket for 30 years but he action is still tight. IMO the cobra and agent were the best defense snubbies made and hold 6 rounds in the same size and weight of a 5 round S&W.

Sure it does. It’s called “your finger.” You don’t need a safety on a revolver. No one carries it cocked. The hammer on modern versions won’t even strike the pin if it’s dropped.

Six shot? Alloy frame?
If so, your Agent does have two safeties. Both are internal and function all by themselves when one pulls the trigger all the way through.
The long heavy DA trigger pull also affords a higher level of safety, as Yo-Yo pointed out in post 9.
