Never-Trumper Ben Shapiro lies as well as any Leftist. He wasn’t criticized for failing to promote a Trump can do no wrong mantra. He was criticized for being a lying, Trump-hating snake in the grass.
Calling anyone who is against Trump a “liar” is a bit of irony. I like the stuff Trump is doing, but he lies like no other politician in modern memory. For crying out loud, in three days he’ll give three differnt answers to the same question.
I’ve learned this by seeing and verifying the arguments of liberals that I spar with. Lying is actually his weakness. But he has a lot of strengths. I tell people that when it comes to trump you need to ignore what he says and focus on what he does. My “excuse” for his lies I use with liberals is that when he is lying to us, he is also lying to our enemies. A president has to be careful about what “truth” he shares with the general population, because it is also being shared with our enemies.
