The Sheriff is probably correct, but the case will go nowhere. All those who conspired to benefit from the lie have already done so. In their minds, there is little to be gained at this point from full disclosure. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Valerie Jarrett all have their millions.

Secondary point is this; the ex-sheriff needs to let it go, before he has an ‘unfortunate accident’. He’s not in office now, not constantly in the public eye anymore. It would not be difficult for some evil person to ‘take care of that annoying problem’ without attracting much attention.
Arpaio is used to living on the edge. More power to him.

As Sheriff Joe stated, there is no statute of limitations. If any revelations come out proving to be true Obama’s whole fandom will be destroyed. Just think Lance Armstrong, being found out after the fact. I doubt these days he has many friends or is welcome at many events.
