Hugh Hefner Did Not Live the Good Life
Russell Moore's Website ^ | September 28, 2017 | Russell Moore

Overnight, we learned of the death of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. Hefner is the iconic figure who not only made pornography socially respectable (and even more lucrative), but also spent a life constructing a “playboy philosophy” of sexual freedom that would supposedly undo the “Puritan sexual repression he saw in American life.”

The death of any person is a tragedy. Hugh Hefner is no exception to that. We can’t, though, with his obituaries, call his life “success” or “a dream.”

Hefner did not create, but marketed ingeniously the idea that a man’s life consists in the abundance of his possessions and of his orgasms. To women, he marketed frenetically the idea that a woman’s value consists in her sexual availability and attractiveness to men.

The “bunny” logo was well-chosen because, in the end, Mr. Hefner saw both men and women as essentially rabbits. This path was portrayed vividly by John Updike in his Rabbit Angstrom series. It is not a happy life.

And yet we are not actually rabbits. We can see our deaths coming, and we outlive those deaths to give an account of our lives. If you want to see “success,” look instead to the man faithful to the wife of his youth, caring for her through dementia.

In the short-run Hefner’s philosophy has won, on both the Right and the Left. The Playboy Mansion is every house now. Many church leaders implicitly or explicitly say, “This is fine.” In many cases, those who hold to what the church has always taught on sexual morality and the value of women are the dissidents now, regardless of how “conservative” a movement proclaims itself to be. Thou hast conquered, O grotto.

The long-run, though, is quite different. Jesus will reign.

In the meantime, the Good Shepherd searches the thickets for his lost sheep. And sometimes for a lost rabbit, too. The sign of the good life is not hedonism but crucifixion. The sign of the good life is not a bunny but a cross.

The death of any person is a tragedy.

I almost stopped reading there.

Hugh Hefner is no exception to that.

Then I did stop.

Hmm, maybe it’s just semantics. Being a Christian, I don’t consider the death of every person a tragedy.

Dorthy Stratten lost her life working for Hefner. Her gorgeous looks and hooking up with the wrong man would have ended up tragic even without Hefner. Still if Hefner was not around the Larry Flints would have stepped up. Dorothy was 20 years old.

Russell Moore isn’t living the good life either. Not only is he a clinically retarded mush, he’s on the payroll of George Soros and wants infinity illegal immigration in this country. This complete fool even once claimed Jesus Christ was an illegal alien.

Moore is going to hell right next to Hugh Hefner because he preferred Mammon to truth.

Learn about the liberal Russell Moore before you come out to back him. He even bent over for Hillary, but wants Trump essentially excommunicated from all Christian society. He's not even a Tru-Con. He's just a leftist mush with lots of platitudes about Christianity.

She met the murderer before she hooked up as a playboy model. Hefner encouraged her to leave the murderer but she didn’t listen.

Hefner was not to blame for her death.

Not only is he a clinically retarded mush,

Dr. Moore is highy regarded in the Baptist community. We hosted him, Albert Mohler, and several others at a conference at our church several months ago. They discussed the problems of the Church coming under fire from the left. I did not note any liberal tendencies from him.

I spoke with him briefly and can attest that he appears to be a very gracious and nice person, as well.

Thus, if you are going to sling mud, I think you should cite sources.

Dr. Moore is highy regarded in the Baptist community.

No he isn't. That can even be proven by just googling his name. First results are from his websites. Next results are him ranting about "white supremacy" and Donald Trump. And right below that are articles about Russell Moore being in danger of "losing his job for opposing Donald Trump." And if you keep going you'll find conservative websites tracking his George Soros money and all manner of his stupidity. Whenever Moore is mentioned on Christian groups I frequent, they hate his guts. Only the liberals and Tru-Cons like him, because they're all retarded.

Thus, if you are going to sling mud, I think you should cite sources.

So just from the first page of google:

An example of Moore's trash published on WAPO:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2017/08/14/russell-moore-white-supremacy-angers-jesus-but-does-it-anger-his-church/?utm_term=.4fcf759b099f

In that article he's ranting about "white supremacy" and condemning Christian "white supremacists" (Trump voters).

This becomes more clear in his older articles where he condemns Trump as a racist, and, by implication, his supporters:

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/06/opinion/a-white-church-no-more.html?mcubz=3

In this article written for the New York Times, Russell Moore celebrates the end of the "white church" and the beginning of a multi-culti paradise, which is just waiting to erupt to eternal peace and prosperity provided we can get rid of Trumpian "Nativisism." A quote from this piece of trash talking about the racist bigots "all over the country" (you and me):

"As of this week, the nation faces a crazier election season than many of us ever imagined, with Donald J. Trump as the all-but-certain nominee of the Republican Party. Regardless of the outcome in November, his campaign is forcing American Christians to grapple with some scary realities that will have implications for years to come.

This election has cast light on the darkness of pent-up nativism and bigotry all over the country. There are not-so-coded messages denouncing African-Americans and immigrants; concern about racial justice and national unity is ridiculed as “political correctness.” Religious minorities are scapegoated for the sins of others, with basic religious freedoms for them called into question. Many of those who have criticized Mr. Trump’s vision for America have faced threats and intimidation from the “alt-right” of white supremacists and nativists who hide behind avatars on social media."

Heh, he even sticks up for the Muslims in that one. The "religious minorities" who Trump threatens to persecute!

Do you really need more?

C'mon people, basic due diligence about your religious leaders here. He was all over CNN during the election bashing Trump.

And here’s a beauty. This one just by searching the website this article is on, his own website. Jesus Christ is an “illegal immigrant” according to this clown!:

http://www.russellmoore.com/2011/06/17/immigration-and-the-gospel/

Is it typical for the Baptist Community to not read the website of the people they invite to break bread with?

Hey, maybe next time he shows up, you can ask that retard how Christ illegally immigrated from one region of the Roman empire to another. Did he swim across the Nile to do the jobs Egyptians wouldn’t?

Heffner was a hungry ghost, a vampire. He left a spoor of dead bodies and ruined lives behind him.

********************************************
Ref. Dorothy Stratten..........

In 1980, she became Playboy’s Playmate of the Year, with photography by Mario Casilli. Stratten also played the title role in the sci-fi parody Galaxina, her first and only starring role.

Hefner reportedly encouraged Stratten to sever ties with Snider, calling him a “hustler and a pimp”.[3] Rosanne Katon and other friends warned Stratten about Snider’s behavior. Stratten began an affair with Peter Bogdanovich while he was directing They All Laughed (1981), intended as her first major studio film.[3] Snider hired a private investigator to follow Stratten. They separated and Stratten moved in with Bogdanovich, planning to file for a divorce from Snider. By August 1980, Snider most likely believed that he had lost Stratten and what he had called his “rocket to the moon”.[3]
Murder
Dorothy Stratten’s grave

Shortly after noon on August 14, 1980, Snider and Stratten met at Snider’s house, where the two had once lived as a couple, and which Snider was by then sharing with its owner, their mutual friend, Dr. Stephen Cushner. Stratten had gone there to talk about an amicable divorce and took along $1,000 to give to Snider.[3]

Dorothy was to pick up her sister Louise after seeing Snider and never showed, which was very unlike her. Around 11 pm, Snider’s private investigator called Cushner on his private line, saying that he had been trying to call Snider for several hours, but Snider was not answering. Although there were many guests in the residence, Snider’s bedroom door was closed and they assumed Snider’s privacy was essential. Cushner broke into Snider’s room and discovered the nude bodies of Snider and Stratten, both having been shot with a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun, which Snyder had recently acquired.[3] Police determined that Snider murdered Stratten, who was 20, then abused and raped her corpse, before turning the shotgun on himself. Dorothy’s body was found connected to an odd, homemade sexual contraption and both bodies were covered with ants.[3][4]

Stratten’s remains were cremated and her ashes were interred at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.

A tad harsh? If Hell is warranted, it might be for this atrocious line:

“The sign of the good life is not a bunny but a cross.”

Careful, Russell, careful.

The problem people have with Dr. Moore is that he is open borders liberal on immigration. I disagree with him on that to be sure.
