If your great great great grandparent came from Ireland an someone said “Go back to Ireland” you’d think they were nuts.
My dad’s father came her from Denmark. I can’t “go back to Denmark” because I’ve never been there. Black Americans can’t go back because they’ve never been either and to be honest, their ancestors have been in America longer than many of mine. I know that many feel they have a connection to the continent but doubt very many would like to trade places.
I disagree that it was ‘stupid’ - people are sick of the nonsense, quite frankly.
What she said was right on, on top of the fact nobody was even remotely threatened or harmed by it.
That is all beside my point anyway. Multitudes of people have had their careers destroyed for saying or writing ONE thing that (most times) are either neutral or even complimenting to blacks.

The sad fact is I’m of Irish/English descent and you are from Italian. Sadly if I went back to Dewsbury England today, it is all Muslim now.
Probably where your family came from in Italy too has been invaded.
