Police Union President Calls BLM Protesters Outside Philly Officer's House 'Pack of Rabid Animals'

Philadelphia cops held a rally of their own Thursday night in response to a protest last week by local Black Lives Matter activists outside the home of a cop identified in a fatal civilian shooting.

The rally was held at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 headquarters and featured several speakers. Emotions quickly escalated and FOP President John McNesby made one jarring statement.

"When you go to work each day, you shouldn't have to worry that a pack of rabid animals will suddenly show up at your home and openly threaten your family," he told the gathered crowd of a couple hundred people, according to WHYY.

That "pack" he referred to is the dozen or so activists who protested last Thursday outside the Northeast Philadelphia house of Officer Ryan Pownall. He has been identified by the police department as the officer who shot David Jones in the back as Jones ran from a confrontation with Pownall in June....

When you’re at war you don’t necessarily worry about using politically correct names when referring to the enemy. But the Media has picked a side here and are doing everything they can to stir the pot.

BLM is the problem if you had comprehended what was stated in the article.

The Police Union was counter protesting the BLM Thugs that were posted outside an Officers house. The Police Union did not start anything. They did not go to a black neighborhood and protest down MLK Blvd. They were supporting a fellow Officer. Not making threats of violence.

Reading Is Fundamental

You're right the article states BLM and not Antifa.

But I often jumble up the two because they are financed by the same sponsors, support the same causes, use the same tactics and are at (i.e. cause) the same disruptions and riots. If law enforcement was turned loose on them (as their crimes have more than justified) I'd lay my last buck that much of their membership overlaps.

CORRECTION:

I'd lay my last buck that it would prove that much of their membership overlaps.

no gov’t employee should be represented by a union. This was a sensible rule until the 1940s. Calvin Coolidge & Ronald Regean weee right.

"The Union supported Hillary, most cops voted for Trump."

Anti police union FReepers have a right to their opinion, but no right to misstate or ignore facts that undermine their opinion:

"Philadelphia police union endorses Donald Trump for president"
(The same John McNesby who called out BLM thugs)

I was unaware of a fact so that makes me anti-police?

I wrote "anti police union" and not just "anti police."

Dynachrome asked "Any idea who the union supported for President in 2016?" and you responded "The Union supported Hillary."

I proved that in fact the union supported Trump and you responded "I was unaware."

Falsely smearing a police union as a Hillary supporter is as anti police union if you were unaware of it being true as if you knew it was false.

So yes you are an anti police union FReeper.

“So yes you are an anti police union FReeper. “

If you feel that,so be it-——but I have years of pro cop posts that say otherwise.

"anti police union"

If you can only respond to my post by editing them to mean something else ---- why bother responding at all?
