Old chestnut but seems to apply. Man sitting on top of his house and the waters keep rising. Boat comes to rescue him and the man says, “The Lord will save me!” Waters keep arising. Second boat comes and again the man says, “The Lord will save me!”

Third boat, same story. Finally the house starts collapsing and as he is swept away the man cries out to the Lord, “Lord, I trusted in you. Why didn’t you save me,” and the Lord replied, “I sent three boats!!!”

The breaking point for my wife was the flooding of our daughter’s school. She saw photos of that and it made her cry. It’s a church too. All underwater. St. Thomas Episcopal, 77096.

it’s only a couple of miles upstream from us. No way for me to even get there. I’m gonna try the 610 freeway, with mtn bike. It’s flooded and blocked to vehicles, but there is no current there and it looks about waist deep.
