PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) — La Grande Dry Cleaning has become an unlikely front in the battle over Donald Trump's presidency.
It happened Aug. 16, when owner Heidi Van Schoonhoven posted a sign in the window of the downtown business. The sign says Trump condones white supremacy. And if you still support Trump, your business is not welcome.
Van Schoonhoven tells The East Oregonian she posted post the sign following Trump's response to the deadly confrontation at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.....

Evidently white supremacy occurs when white people insist upon existing.
Totally her right to do so.
And I hope she suffers financial losses for it.

The Eastern part of Oregon is definitely not like the liberal Portland, Salem and Eugene.
Early in my work career I had the pleasure of working in a department with an elderly lawyer. Whatever side of an issue we young bucks took, he took the opposite. You never knew his position on any of the issues. The lessons he taught us were that there are two sides to each issue and you need to be well informed about each before making a decision. Best teacher I ever had. Wish he were still around to school this business owner and others.
Hope the town has other dry cleaners to choose from.

I have no idea of the % of Trump voters in that area.
Like you noted, the further east of Portland, the more conservative the area.
Even if the % of Trump voters in that area is 20-40%.
She has to be a terminally stupid B$tch to say, “I don’t want your business!” to those customers.
I bet there’s a lot more Trump voters there, than Clinton. this is EASTERN Oregon.
