The Government “Suddenly” Gets Concerned With Overspending on the Trump Family

Apparently, protecting the President of the United States and his family is a massive burden on the government budget, and according to USA Today, it’s because President Trump makes so many trips. But where was this concern for overspending when the nation was racking up over Twenty Trillion Dollars of Debt?

Secret Service Director Randolph “Tex” Alles is saying that 1000 secret service people have already hit their federally mandated pay caps, and that “The president has a large family, and our responsibility is required in law,” Alles said. “I can’t change that. I have no flexibility.”

Apparently the problem is that Trump has 42 White House protectees and Obama only had 31. Therefore the world is ending and it’s all Trump’s fault.

This didn’t seem to be a problem with Odumbass and his 3 or 4 hundred person ‘entourage’ that went everywhere with him.

Or Obama’s $8-$9 Trillion dollars .....

Oh, but NOW they’re all concerned....more idiocy for leftist sheeple to scoop up.

Can we be clear here? The Secret Service director is stating a fact: Upwards of 1000 agents have reached their legislatively mandated maximum annual compensation. He isn't blaming the President or saying things were so much better before Trump, the media is doing that. He's wondering how he is going to pay his people unless Congress raises the compensation cap. So let's stop with they "yeah buts..." and get Congress off their duffs and get these people the money they have earned for the very difficult and important job that they do.

Trump has five children, three of whom are married, and many grandchildren. Obama has two unmarried children. Who were (are?) the other 27 people provided protection for Obama?

Tax payers spent over 11 billion on 0bama and family vacations . Moochelle often took hordes of her friends with her . Once had the family dog flown to Hawaii on a separate jet .

It's not even a question of increases. Congress could double their salaries and all that would mean is that they would reach the $160,000 cap sooner and go without any more paychecks longer. This is a job with a lot of overtime regardless of who the President is. Congress needs to do what the director is asking and raise the limit from $160,000 to $187,000 so that the next time you see the President with his Secret Service protection you don't have to ask if the agents are watching for trouble or thinking "Another day I'm not getting paid for."

Fortunately Hussein took very few trips, less than a thousand, and flew economy class in commercial planes. He only traveled when flights of fighter planes were going his way anyway, and had secret Service guys riding with him for free because they were going on vacation to the same places at the same times he was.

The Trump number includes ALL people who get Secret Service protection right now -- including former presidents and their spouses. Obama and his wookie wife are counted in Trump's number.

The Trump number also includes the VP and his spouse, but I'm not sure if it includes their children.

There was also a USA Today story on this & it was addressed by Dan Bongino, former Secret Service agent (now 'The Renegade Republican'):

No, Trump isn't bankrupting the Secret Service-

Reading the headline of the explosive USA Today story today would lead a reasonable person to believe that the Donald Trump presidency is bankrupting the Secret Service because, as stated by Secret Service Director “Tex” Alles in the piece, "The president has a large family, and our responsibility is required in law,'' Alles said. "I can't change that. I have no flexibility.'' Yes, Director Alles is correct, the president does have a large family, and presidential travel is expensive for the U.S. taxpayer. In addition, as the USA Today piece also states:

“Overwork and constant travel have also been driving a recent exodus from the Secret Service ranks, yet without congressional intervention to provide additional funding, Alles will not even be able to pay agents for the work they have already done.

The compensation crunch is so serious that the director has begun discussions with key lawmakers to raise the combined salary and overtime cap for agents, from $160,000 per year to $187,000 for at least the duration of Trump's first term.”

Actually, it was over $100 million, not billion. Here's the Judicial Watch story from December with the numbers up to $96 million. I saw where they got the documents from the Secret Service that did put the over the $100 million mark, but I can't find it at the moment:

Judicial Watch: New Obama Travel Costs Bring Eight-Year Total over $96 Million

Hmmm. It kinda' looks like this is setting up a "reason" for lack of protection if (when?) someone is "taken out".....
