FBI isn't required to answer an offical request, and often ignores them. The routine FBI reports to Congress, for oversight, disclose the numbers of investigations, not the targets.
Supposedly, it is untoward of the president to even ask about specific targets - see "independent FBI."
I think the FBI was afraid that she might cave under questioning and rat everyone out... so they had to let her get away to protect everyone.
More amazing is they have the clearances and are no longer in a Gov’t position. Why would they have clearance? why would they have any access to Gov’t. computers? It doesn’t make any sense. Is this special consideration for Hillary and co.? Does every former gov’t employee have access and clearance?

I’ve been following George Webb for quite a long time. The government wanted Clinton to use the standard cell phones that everyone else used. Clinton said no and purchased blackberries. Those blackberries were then given to one of Weiner’s trusted staff (Awan brothers) who programmed it so that ALL, and I mean ALL of the information while using the blackberry was transferred to an off-site server. God only knows how much the Awan brothers know and to whom they sold the info to or who they blackmailed. Congress critters may NOT have known that the blackberries were programmed - but who knows?
I’m sure McCain will do all he can to help the FBI.

I’d be interested in knowing how his hits have decreased, lately. I’ve read several pleas to boycott his site, and I hope that’s happening. what type of computer programming is required for individual members of congress? ... i doubt that most are even partially proficient with off-the-shelf apps like ms-office
