Vanity: The GOPe/NeverTrumps Just Got Their Killshot
Free Republic ^ | August 20, 2017 | Vanity

Oh, I get it.

Trump wins on North Korea.

But the Uniparty Establishment can't have that. They need International crises to work fear into people on a timetable of their chosing, it's not Trump's job to solve anything.

So the "Left" wing of the Uniparty hires masked protesters and other crisis actors who need to make the rent to instigate racial violence, hoping the still newbie citizen-politician Trump will over-tweet himself or step in it somehow, in some way that they can trap him.

They do.

Then the "right" Unipartiers, the BushMittMcCainRyanGOPe and their Never-Trump FrenchMcMuffins close in on POTUS once Steve Bannon leaves for the long awaited kill-shot:

The Trump White House is nearly all Democrats.

And JEB, Marco, Cruz, Mitt, Kasich, ooze back through the woodwork:

"See! We told you Donald Trump was DEMOCRAT!"

I think “slithered back in” is the phrase you’re looking for...

My sentiments are with you but the fact remains:

Trump’s White House is full of Democrats. This is fodder to get GOPe types elected, re elected, and take out Trump politically.

I guess the birth of the modern GOPe is when these same Elites forced Bush upon Reagan.

I think W said it best when he said this is a generational war that would largely be fought in the shadows. I’m not sure which side he was on but I think it described things pretty well.

I am going Independent.

After 42 years in the GOP I did just that last year.

So, by now never being able to vote in the Republican Party primaries, you’re okay with the fact that they will put up RINOs for nomination and you will not have anything to say about it?

Not voting to at least try to stop these people is a choice. A bad choice, in my opinion.

There are several lunkheads here on FR that are apparently fixated and fascinated with the term KILL SHOT. They constantly flaunt it about, in verbal reference to President Trump. I pray that these persons each meet with a personal calamity that will jar them to realize the folly of making light of horrendous ideas.

Well, if George W said it, I’ll ignore it.

W’s trampstamp reads “GOPe Globalist & fake Christian to boot”

I apologize if it unconsciously got in this post.

And I do believe these GOPe Unipartiers wouldn’t hesitate if they really could take a KS.

I remember Poppy Bush running his finger across his throat after Trump won NH; and it wasn’t because he wanted the applause to die down. He and Hinckley’s dad were in the oil business together going back to the early 50’s.

Pure drivel.

First of all, Charlottesville was in the works since May. This was planned ahead of time.

Second of all, Bannon resigned on August 7th, and he's not cut out to be in the WH with leadership anyone. Going back to Breitbart is perfect for him. Now he can fight the Left free of all the scrutiny for Trump.

Their pathetic puny ploys all backfire on them.
Be of good cheer, Trump sets the agenda and pushes it forward.
He doesn’t need National Review. He doesn’t need spineless Republicans.
He needs you and his million of supporters fighting along side him.

You might not get what you want when you want it but persevere.
Start focusing on the mid-terms. Give Trump the reinforcement he needs.
Cast out the UniParty Rinos and replace them with American patriots.

my .81 cents (US)

No.

There is no killshot. There is no Trump leaving.

Just the opposite. He’s now taken everything they had, blew it off.

Eight years. Mark it down.

The GOP is no longer Grand nor Old.

It is difficult to tell the difference between the parties. What bothers me the most is that the members are career politicians and that taints them. Gone is the philosopher king and it is special interests all the way and the rank and file be damned. They are in a rush to offer free stuff for votes just like the Dems.

This is what made Trump exciting — he wasn't a milquetoast Romney or Bush. Yuck! Trump was boorish and sometimes a little mean but I liked that.

I feel the same way as you do about both typical politicians of both parties, and Trump. I decided in 2014 that I would not vote for a typical politician anymore, though at that point they were the only ones running for president. I initially supported Ted Cruz because he was the most outside of the Insiders. However when Trump entered the race I changed my mind, and I am glad and having done so.

However, I learned from the complete ineffectiveness of Jimmy Carter how a president must have some support in Congress if he is to accomplish anything of note. Trump needs to have the Republican Party behind him, because clearly the Democrats never will be. This requires that the same people who elected Trump, must get rid of the Republicans who don’t support him, and install people who are going to look out for our interests (r at least who credibly say if they will be looking at for our interests).

Eight years. Mark it down.

I would be thrilled with eight years--I just wonder if he (and his family) could stand eight years of this madness. Eight years of being reviled. Eight years of being lied about and protested at every turn. It's unbelievable.

This is an opportunity for us to pressure the Republicans to do their job and support Trump (of course, when it is the right thing to do). I still believe that they should use common sense but I hope that they realize that this is their opportunity to shine and if they fail (along with Trump) that most people who support them now will wonder “why bother” voting for Republicans.

Like it or not, if Trump fails, they fail with him.

I just read something about how it was McMaster that was Bannon’s real problem.

McMaster is a Bushite, as far as I can tell.

And no one on FR can produce footage of Desert Storm tank battles that McMaster supposedly “won”.

Only badly staged docudrama footage. Would really like to see the enemy tank line and what exactly we were fighting back in those pre internet, pre cell phone camera days... satellites were readily avail. Cameras mounted on machinery.

Yet... no footage of McMasters’ victories.

So... odd.
