As a coworker explained it to me, the anarchists believe in the communist dream that occurs after the State melts away. Communism has never reached anything near that point but that's what anarchists want - supposedly.

I don't think they are really deep enough for that. They're just people losing their humanity, like Lord Of The Flies said would happen. I didn't believe it when I read the book, but Antifa's making me believe it now.
