I wonder if those old AOL discs can be safely used to view eclipses. :-)

I’m not sure about those, BUT, an old 5.25” Floppy Disk had a slot in it. That slot can be safely used to shield the eye to view the eclipse. Tried it for last partial solar eclipse in Boston - can’t remember the year...
