2017 FReeper Pick'em Football League
Yahoo!!! Sports ^ | 8/08/2017 | Texas Booster

I started the 2017 Pick’em fantasy football team.

FREEPER 2017 NO RHINOS

Group 4185

Been going on for about a dozen years.

The Pick’em league is simple - just tell us each week who will win, and assign a point value to the win.

FReepmail me if you want to join, and I'll send you the password.

TOPICS: Sports
KEYWORDS: fantasyfootball
We usually have about 20 FReepers that join to trade insults and mock those that believe that Giselle's boy toy may be a better QB than Unitas, Tarkenton or even Romo (RIFP). We can still add several more, and would appreciate your joining us.

There is no cost and this is a low pressure league. Blow a week completely? It gets dropped.

We do ask that everyone make a donation to Free Republic during the season.

Tired of the NFL, Goodell, Kaepernick and other overpaid, unappreciative athletes that don't appreciate the common fans?

Hey, we get it! We just choose to compare our prognostication ability against each other in a league that for now, has fewer fixed games than the NBA lottery.

Besides, are we really going to take up rooting for soccer at our advanced ages?

I’ve lived in New York City all of my life and the Colts have been my team since 1971.

As a “loyal” Detroit Lions fan all I can say is that during the past 60 years, many teams have made it into the Playoffs and a few went to the Superbowl.

Even before there was a Superbowl, the ‘57 Lions won the championship.

Since then, so many teams have gone to the bowl games but Detroit, under the ownership (death grip) of the Ford family, send their team to the toilet bowl every year since 1957!!!

It's funny that you posted the odds line. I use that information to walk through each week and pick SOMEBODY - really anybody, before the season starts. The #1 doh! moment for me is forgetting a Thursday night game or not being able to get all my picks in for a week.

So I'll start out before the season starts and choose the Pats to win every game, and (based on this) the Browns and 49ers to lose every game. Then I'll look at the week when it arrives and see if injuries or a hot run will change my decisions.

Over the course of a season, everyone will bounce around within a few points of each other.

I honestly think Luck is done as our franchise QB. I think his shoulder injury is permanent. Have no inside info, but everything I have seen points to that. I really hope I am wrong.

“Luck opened camp on PUP [physically unable to perform], but general manager Chris Ballard said the plan is to add him to the active roster before the start of the season. If the team would keep Luck on PUP when rosters are cut to 53 [on] Sept. 2, he would have to miss at least the first six games of the season.”

I think that Luck is just on the Romo training camp plan.

Lots of film but wearing that red shirt every day until the first game.

Makes the other 90 guys wonder why they have to sweat so much, if he can come in and play so well.
