President Trump is asking everyone to forward this email to a minimum of 20 recipients

I received this email message from a long-time, trusted friend. The individual who sent it to him admitted there was no way to vet the document or its authenticity as a message from President Trump.

One thing, however, is certain—it’s the sort of fix Donald Trump would propose and heartily endorse. Ed.

Please scroll down to read this important message about NO TENURE and NO Pension for Congressman under the Congressional Reform Act of 2017.

URGENT that all read and this is circulated.

I'm asking everyone to forward this email to a min of 20 people, & to ask each of them to do likewise.

In three days, most people in the United States, with e-mail, will have the message. This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.

The Congressional Reform Act of 2017 will include: 1 No Tenure/No Pension. A Congressman/Congresswoman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. Why should they? With this law in force a lot less money will be spent trying to get elected.

2 Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. a. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. b. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. c. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3.Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5.Congress loses their current health care system & participates in the same health care system as all American's.

6.Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7.All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/31/17.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people, then it will only take three days for most people in the U.S. to receive the message.

It's time!

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS! Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career!!!!!

Have An inspired Day!!

Don't know if this actually came from Trump but the "NO TENURE and NO Pension for Congressman under the Congressional Reform Act of 2017" is something to advance.

I got an email from the president too. He said I was owed $10 million but it’s stuck in a bank in Nigeria.

I agree.

I don’t see anything about these suggestions, regardless whether or not they actually came from Pres Trump, that I don’t like.

But it doesn't matter whether or not they are falsely attributed to him?

Really?

So fake is fine as long as it's stuff you like?

Blog pimping is bad enough. Attributing email to the President falsely should be grounds for zotting.

Excellent list to wise up Congress. Of course, it should be wildly disseminated. Not everyone has time to follow the bouncing balls, as Congress thwarts the people and the president’s agenda they supported.

Couldn’t care less who orchestrated it, directed it or sent it. It’s true and accurate.

Me too.

Maybe this would take care of the term limits issue, too!

Sounds / looks like an issue tailor made for a convention of the states.

Congress likes their bennies, and won’t give them up without a fight.

Silly. And almost certainly not real.

These feel-good proposals have been around for years. Regardless how folks feel about them, none of these things would make any difference.

Yes, obviously, they should live by their own rules. But even if that ever passed, it would change absolutely nothing in regard to the real damage they do on other legislation.

Politicians at this level do not get into it for the retirement package or HC bennies. They can make plenty of of money of name and experience once they leave office.

Also, I will NEVER be guilted into forwarding emails. Even if they made more sense than this silliness.

How is this blog pimping??

Even HG didn’t accuse thread originator of that...

I thought blog pimping is defined as directing traffic to your own site...thru an unnecessary excerpt.

This was not the thread originator’s site. and he did not excerpt...

So where is the problem?

PERFECT ..!!!!!

Since our Congress people cannot be trusted to govern themselves (and always vote perks for themselves); its waaaaaaay past time for Congress to STOP considering themselves as a “privileged class”.

My only question is .. who pays for staff - since the Congress people will have to share their salaries with their staff .. I’d say that will reduce the STAFF by a large margin .. so an agreement is needed for the staff as well as the Congress person.

And, this lower wage will keep most of Congress at their offices, instead of running around our Country (or others), wasting time. And .. NO FREE CARS TO DRIVE.

I suspect this would be quite a relief to the expense of running a govt - especially since it’s the taxpayer and not the govt which makes the payments.

Put this on the ballot .. !!!!!!
