Apparently our illegal Haitians are showing up in Quebec province in large enough numbers that it’s causing problems up there. There was an article I saw about that here in the last week.
IIUC, those Haitians are legal under a temporary residency that started after the 2010 earthquake. They are leaving because Trump noticed that "temporary" doesn't mean forever and they don't want to return to Haiti.
