I started the 2017 Pick’em fantasy football team.

Been going on for about a dozen years.
The Pick’em league is simple - just tell us each week who will win, and assign a point value to the win.
FReepmail me if you want to join, and I'll send you the password.
There is no cost and this is a low pressure league. Blow a week completely? It gets dropped.
We do ask that everyone make a donation to Free Republic during the season.

All’s I know about the NFL is that it sure ain’t what it used to be. In other words.... Good.

I will typically pick all Thursday and Saturday games in August. Through the years, that is where most folks make mistakes and forget to pick, so I just get them out of the way.
I try to keep a couple of weeks ahead of the week in play, which usually lasts until October before I scramble to complete my picks. I will use the bye week to look into the future and pick another few weeks.
That's it. No one scores 100% but picking something is better than ignoring it.
I completely checked out of the NFL last year after their political correct nonsense and coddling of Kapernick. I’d read the game summaries on Monday but the tube was silent on Sunday’s for the first time since I was a lad.
I’m going to hang with it until Brady retires.
But if I really said what I thought about the NFL today, I would get banned as a “wacist.”
I hope Kaepernick finds his true career as a car wash attendant.
