Agreed, it seems the position on AG has just become symbolic. Policies are made that are only symbolic while equally substantive issues other than immigration go on being ignored.
Sessions is a big disappointment in this administration.
The shine wore off quickly when he recused himself the very next day after confirmation. He should have ben fired right there.

AG Sessions was confirmed by the Senate on February 8, 2017 and sworn in by the Vice President on February 9 in the Oval Office. Sessions issued his recusal statement on March 2nd after consultations with the DOJ Ethics Office, which recommended recusal in accordance with DOJ policy. Even Giuliani said that he would have recused himself under the circumstances.

Get your facts straight.
