This is NOT fake news. This is big, big news.

Joe Lee has just become the world’s first full-time Donald Trump bookmaker.

The Sun’s Mike Ridley gives a Trump pinch with Paddy Power’s Joe

In a rectangular – rather than oval – office on the fourth floor of Dublin’s Power Tower, Head of Trump Bets Joe spends his day working out the odds for punters’ bets on the US President.

Donald J Trump is BIG business in the world of betting. More bets are placed on The Donald than on boxing, motor racing or even the President’s favourite sport golf.

So betting giant Paddy Power decided to advertise for the industry’s only dedicated Trump bookmaker.

More than 100 people from around the world applied for the job, including one who worked in Trump’s casinos.

Last week father-of- two Joe, 35, started the job which will be his for as long as Mr Trump remains President.

He says: “At the moment you can have odds of 2/1 on Donald Trump being re-elected in 2020. But we’re also giving 4/6 on him being impeached over alleged links to Russia.”

The Head of Trump Bets currently has around 150 offers on the board at the moment.

Some more serious than others, including: Trump to paint the White House gold – 500/1 The Donald to add his own face to Mount Rushmore 100/1 France to ask for the return of the Statue of Liberty – 50/1 Trump to change gender – 100/1 Donald to play a round of golf with Obama 4/1 Trump to grow a Hitler moustache 66/1 The Rock to stand against Trump in 2020 – 25/1 A Trump sex tape to be leaked online 14/1 Trump to confirm he has had hair surgery 2/1

Joe, a bookmaker for 15 years, says: “There’s no one in the world like Donald Trump and people are fascinated by him. He is far more popular than Brexit was with the betting public.

“If Trump is qualified to do that, then I don’t think any other job or candidate can be seen as ridiculous.”

Two years ago, when the billionaire property tycoon and presenter of the US version of the Apprentice first announced he would run bookies regarded him as a joke candidate and offered odds of 250 to one.

But the joke was on the bookies in the end.

Paddy Power paid out nearly £4million to punters who backed Trump to get to the White House.

I’m very much looking forward to putting my own cabinet together but unlike Mr Trump I won’t be sacking them all within a few months.

In the week building up to the election last November, four London customers staked £10,000 on a Trump victory.

And the day before the vote another £25,000 bet was placed on Trump becoming President, at odds of 4/1.

In total, more than 50,000 bets were placed with PaddyPower on the US Election – almost double the number on Brexit.

Remarkably, Paddy Power’s bookies were so sure Trump’s Democrat rival Hillary Clinton would win, they paid out two weeks early – and lost just under £1million.

As Head of Trump Bets, Joe Lee’s day starts early when he looks at the President’s overnight tweets, looking for clues on what punters are likely to bet on next.

One Trump tweet that attracted lots of attention was when the President wrote in the early hours of May 31: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe”

Punters raced to place bets on what the President meant.

Joe says: “People thought he had fallen asleep on his keyboard.

“So, straight away we rolled out a market on what did Trump actually mean to tweet. What is covfefe?

“You could bet on was it coffee? A strange new currency? Russian hooker?

“We ended up returning all bets because he did not officially confirm in the next 48 hour period what he meant.”

Joe hopes The Donald’s popularity with punters means he can take on more staff.

He says: “I’m very much looking forward to putting my own cabinet together but unlike Mr Trump I won’t be sacking them all within a few months.

“When Donald Trump was elected to the White House one of the most popular bets was which would last longer his marriage to Melania or his presidency.

“Personally I think he will see out his first term. I’m not overly sure he will be welcomed with open arms to his second.

“It really depends on the type of candidates who will stand against him.

“If The Rock – actor Dwaine Johnson – stands against him as a Republican candidate I really can’t predict what will happen there but we’re giving odds of 25/1.”
