For over six decades Camp Solomon Schechter alongside the Placid shores of Lake Joshua Stamper has been the gateway to Judaism and love of Israel for generations of young Jewish campers in the Pacific Northwest.
For some Schechterites though, their blissful camp experience was jarred late last week by the raising of the Palestinian flag over the storied campgrounds. An email sent by the camp administration acknowledged the incident this past Friday, describing it as one designed to “help develop empathy” and a “teachable moment”. Whatever the intent, the raising of the Palestinian flag over the camp was unexpected and disturbing for some campers, who according to the email expressed “sadness and anger” at the sight. Some campers and staff were upset by the raising of the Palestinian flag.
Solomon Schechter administration indicated in their email that they raised the flag as a sign of “friendship and acceptance” for a group of visiting Palestinian Muslims and Christians. The Palestinian delegation, which also included some Israeli children under the auspices of Kids4Peace have joined the camp for the first five days of the new session.
David Jacoby, a lifetime Seattleite and longtime member of the Jewish community expressed disappointment at the actions of the camp. “Solomon Shechter flying the Palestinian flag is a feel-good bromide that creates the illusion of problem-solving” said Jacoby. “It’s well intentioned, but it misses the point. Two decades of peace negotiations between Israel and Palestinians have failed primarily because of the Palestinian’s refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.” Jacoby’s wife, Beth concurs, adding that “the time to raise the Palestinian flag over our summer camps is when they stop burning the Israeli flag at theirs”.
There are no “teachable moments” in relation to the conflict between the “Palestinians” and the Israelis.
There is but one reality - the “Palestinians” want to drive the Israelis into the sea. No concessions, no degree of appeasement by the Israelis, will ever change the one prime directive that is ingrained in every “Palestinian” - Jews must die or become totally invisible.
Raising the “Palestinian” flag is equivalent to raising the Nazi swastika banner. An insult with malice intent.

Only people ignorant about or in denial about Islam’s teachings and history can a aknowledge them as anything other than intent on conquerING and converting the world to the will of Allah as they imagine him.

The Solomon Schechter day school system is run by the Conservative branch of Judaism, and has lately been slipping more and more into the Reform lane. Those folks are overwhemingly Kool-aid-drinking libtards who believe in kumbaya until the Muzzlimes slit their stupid naive throats. And I swear their last words would be, “But I was on your side....”

How do you “reach out” to a group of people who have demonstrated in HUGE numbers, very consistently and over the course of decades, that their only satisfactory result is your destruction - literally, your death? They CONTINUE to teach this to their children in school, in the mosques and in the media, the continue to glorify mass murderers by naming streets and squares after them, and they continue to subsidize the families of murderers as a reward for their heinous in inhuman actions.
There is not only NOT a solution that can be reached now, the other side is fervently making sure that there can NEVER be a solution by poisoning the minds of their youth with their vile hatred.
But a flying a f’ing flag will solve that problem, won’t it? F’ing self-hating morons!
