President Trump has embraced the Williamson Doctrine, the Gospel of U-Haul, the Grand Unified Theory of Getting Off Your Ass and Going Where the Jobs Are. MAGA, kids. MAGA. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump boasted about the new American factories that he expects to be built under his watch — electronics manufacturer Foxconn is planning (probably) a new Wisconsin facility — and then suggested that the people in communities that were not positioned to benefit from these investments might consider — get this! — going where the jobs are.....

Upstate NY has a decent amount of Republicans . . . move to a Red State and it’s a 2 for 1! Reduces the electoral count of New York and increases the electoral count of a red state!
Cuomo and the Democrats have blocked fracking in New York State. There are few productive enterprises when you get about fifty miles north of New York city. The major employers are colleges and prisons. If Cuomo had allowed fracking, New York state would have witnessed the same economic revival that neighboring northeast rural Pennsylvania is enjoying. Nothing new that New York is losing its endemic population. They have been leaving in droves the past thirty years seeking business friendly states. They are being replaced with largely illiterate migrants.
I feel that’s his point - he can’t help them like he can the other regions because of their socialist governments.
You’d think people would jump at any opportunity to leave leftist hellholes like New York, California, etc.
The NY State Public Employees Retirement Fund just invested $100 million in an Ireland bank that does Irish startups instead of investing in startup industries in NY State. In 1998 the NY City investment fund invested hundreds of millions of dollars into Israeli startup industries instead of NY York State industry startups. You can see just how apparently crooked they are by all the taxpayers` $$ leaving the state -— The NY State PERF above has a legislative-ordered mandate to invest in NY State startups bt they ignore it.
