The president’s new press secretary dismissed the media’s focus on the Russia investigation, what she called “Russia fever,” as an attempt to delegitimize Trump’s election victory.
“There's a ton of focus on what I like to call Russia fever,” press secretary Sarah Sanders told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on “This Week” Sunday.
She said the allegations swirling around Russia and Trump associates is a “total made-up story about the president, trying to take away the legitimacy of his victory in November.”
Instead, she said the focus should be on leaks of sensitive information to the media. “We need to focus on these leaks. This is the only illegal thing that has taken place, and it's a real serious problem.”
Sanders was responding to a question by Stephanopoulos about a tweet by the president Saturday decrying what Trump called "a new intelligence leak" about Attorney General Jeff Sessions.....

The Russian thingy is purely a DNC diversionary tactic. They are keeping the country focused on that to prevent the same type of scrutiny on the antics of the klintoon crime syndicate.

Indeed. Odd to call her attitude "dismissive" though. That's like being dismissive of the Japanese when they bombed Peal Harbor. Trying to delegitimize the results of an election is a big thing.
This Russia thing is not funny and President Trump is surrounded by people who say provocative things about Russia like Mike Pompeo at CIA who says the Russians have done little to fight IS in Syria and will be doing bad things to us in the future. Pure excrement.

liberals and the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) have done it with EVERY Republican nominee and/or President since Nixon. (Reagan was somewhat an exception because of the margin of his victories. They still lampooned him in the pop culture.)
And I am not one to defend every action of every Republican President.
The media got a taste of blood when it succeeded in turning a third rate burglary into the resignation of Nixon. Nixon had problems, but Watergate shouldn’t have been it....

Dubya was targeted for attack, and then 9/11 came along. The media had to go slow but eventually ramped it up. Dubya didn’t help himself by not defending himself....he looked weaker and weaker.
Which paved the way for the ultimate weak nominee. Weaker than Ford, weaker than Dole. John McCain.
Mitt Romney showed promise, but the media was in full fledged four-more-years-of-the-first-black-President-or-you-are-racist mode. And, like McCain and Bush, MR didn’t fight back.
Now? We have a Republican who fights. Hard. Tooth. Nail. Street. And that is what we need. Our country is indeed at stake. Maybe DJT does it for his own ego, but I also think he does it because he grew up loving this nation. And we should have his back.
The America-haters had Obama’s back. Why? Not because all of them necessarily loved Obama. Hitlery hated him. But they all had one thing in common: they all hated America just like he did....We share something in common w/DJT. We love this nation.
