Jeff Sessions Praise of Constitution Crushing Prosecutor Also Hurts President Trump

"Look Sessions gets the job. Right after he gets the job, he recuses himself, he should have told me before he took the job, and I would have picked somebody else...Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself. I then have--which, frankly is very unfair to the president. How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would recused himself before the job, I would have said, 'Thanks Jeff, but I can't, you know I'm not going to take you.' Its extremely unfair, and that's a mild word, to the president....."

President Donald Trump's "New York Times" interview published July 19, 2017

"I've got to tell you, its impressive when you have a tough case, a controversial case and you've got the top guy leading the battle, going to court, standing up and defending the office and the principles of the law...I'm not taking sides or commenting on the case. Just want to say that leadership requires, a lot of times, our people to step up and be accountable."

Attorney General Jeff Sessions July 12, 2017 praising Acting US Attorney in Las Vegas, Steven Myhre, leading the prosecution of 19 men accused in the Bunkerville Standoff near Bundy Ranch-April 2014

"I think saying that he commends the prosecution leading these Bundy cases and this atrocity speaks for itself....but I believe him commending the prosecution on holding these guys for this amount of time and all the money that they're spending on this retrial, this double jeopardy speaks for itself. He says he's not taking sides, but obviously he has. So Sessions is not our friend..."

Andrea Parker, wife of Second Bunkerville Trial defendant Eric Parker, comments July 12, 2017 immediately following Jeff Sessions comments

Steven Myhre, the man Sessions was praising, offered up opening arguments in Las Vegas last Monday (July 17th) at the retrial of four men not convicted by the jury in their first trial earlier this year for supporting the Bundy Family at the standoff near Bundy Ranch in April 2014.

Myhre made a motion before the trial to ban the defendants from using the Constitution's First and Second Amendments as a defense and got US District Judge Gloria Navarro to agree to the ban.

One saving grace for President Trump in this matter was the appearance of one of his supporters, Roger Stone, at a rally for the Bunkerville Standoff defendants on Saturday July 15th.

Stone called on the President to pardon the 19 men involved in the case, only three convicted, one sentenced, with the other 18 currently being jailed indefinitely without bail.

Sessions comments on the Bunkerville Standoff prosecutor should be the last straw.

These comments cause harm to the President among grassroots supporters including the jailed Cliven Bundy, who endorsed Donald Trump in a letter published right before the election last November. Also among the 19 behind bars, Jerry DeLemus, co-chair of Veterans for Trump during the New Hampshire Primary last year.

DeLemus received a seven year plus (87 month) sentence from US District Judge Gloria Navarro, a sentence 15 months harsher than the one requested by federal prosecutors in the case.

President Trump has been forced to consider pardons in the face of the mess created by Sessions. He was reviewed his pardon powers and tweeted that he has them.

The 19 men involved in the Bunkerville Standoff deserve pardons because they were exercising their rights under the US Constitution.

Rights that have been banned from the trial of these four men by US District Judge Gloria Navarro and her co-conspirator, Acting US Attorney Steve Myhre in Las Vegas.

Sessions thinks Myrhe is a great leader.

Sessions and Myhre both seem to deserve a short message.

"You're fired."

Instead of Sessions, Mr. Joseph DiGenova would be a good fit.

Trump is a disaster at picking cabinet heads.

Tillerson is a continuation of Kerry and Hillary as Secretary of State.

Sessions is a mess.

Nobody who voted for Trump expected this.

Sessions is so far quite a disappointment I must admit. He needs to bring about Special Prosecutors to investigate Hillary and the Clinton Foundation to regain my admiration for him.

BS- most everyone was overjoyed when President Trump selected Sessions...

the recusal of Russian investigation is one thing- Sessions cowardice not naming special prosecutors to investigate unmasking/spying, leaks of confidential information and the Comey situation are most concerning to me...

Not sure what to say. Ken Starr came in on Whitewater and ended up at Lewinsky. Was he diverted, distracted from matters relating to the Clintons?

“Special Prosecutors” don’t impress me, but serious investigations that lead to serious prosecutions for serious matters do.

As far as Sessions goes, he was a US Senator and is probably too close to business as usual politics and needs replacement.

I'd say keep AG Sessions. Think about how the US Senate slow-walked his confirmation. Can you imagine ANOTHER confirmation hearing? Anyone short of Loretta Lynch couldn't get confirmed. The Justice Department would be Swamp Things Run Amuck.

Besides that, AG Sessions is one of the few who's accomplishing much in terms of the Deplorable Agenda. He is reversing the invasion of the US. He's getting the non-citizen criminal element out of the US. I'm thinking that we're not seeing the obscene protests/riots this summer because AG Sessions would not be kind to perpetrators.

I could see a very good case for bringing in an Assistant AG who is a bit more of a street fighter and less trusting of people's intentions as a counterbalance to AG Sessions caution.

The travesty going on Las Vegas right now deserves our attention.

President Trump should not let people who support him like Cliven Bundy and Jerry DeLemus be jailed for exercising their Constitutional rights.

PARDONS FOR THESE 19, THOSE CONVICTED IN THE SECOND OREGON STANDOFF TRIAL AND THE OREGON RANCHERS, THE HAMMONDS, JAILED AS TERRORISTS FOR LIGHTING A BACKFIRE TO PROTECT THEIR LAND AND THE CAUSE OF THE OREGON STANDOFF PROTEST IN 2016.

No one - including Trump - is going to be perfect. Having said that, it doesn’t matter much what Sessions is all about. Trump picked him, and the buck stops at the Oval Office.

Same goes with the Gen. Flynn fiasco. The buck stops at the Oval Office.

Here’s the real question: whose idea was it to nominate Rod Rosenstein to his position as DAG? When a guy gets confirmed by 94-1 in the Senate, you know something is highly suspect. It means the Democrats LOVE him, which should have been the red flag right away. So whose decision, or recommendation, was it to nominate him?

As if DJT could have seen the disaster that is Sessions? His ineptness came out of the blue.

Trump saved America. Obama was adding government regulations at 100,000 pages of government regulations per year(link is below). How long do you think America could have survived that kind of onslaught with Hillary ? Not long. Trump gave up the best lifestyle to save America. Yes the buck stops with him and we owe him everything. Trump is massively reducing government regulations (linkS below).

Trump saved us from the Abyss. The only reason any of you have freedom , a free Internet, and property is because of Trump who is massively reducing the millions of pages of government regulations Clinton,Bush and Obama added:

Obama and Clinton and Bush were adding close to 100,000 pages of government regulations per year . Continuing that with Pence or Hillary will destroy America completely.

2018 is an opportunity to get Trump friendly Senators in and Trump needs to make sure he is very vocal about support for those. Then Sessions can go.

> Trump saved America. <

Absolutely true! I agree 100%.

I have mentioned this before: If Trump does nothing for the rest of his term but play solitaire in the Oval Office, he still has saved America. And that’s because he kept Hillary and her corrupt cronies away from the levers of power.

But that doesn’t mean we should always excuse Trump. Many of us did that with Bush II, and it didn’t turn out so well. I am all for gentle criticism of Trump when it is warranted. And I do emphasize the word “gentle”. Trump is one of the good guys.

That is the real question. If we had a Deputy AG who was fully on board with Trump's agenda, he would never have appointed a special counsel and Sessions' recusal would not even be a topic of conversation.

We saw Dims and Republicans slobbering all over Comey, and then Mueller about how they were men of the highest professionalism, integrity and fairness. Turns out they are two of the biggest snakes in the grass to show up in DC in recent decades and Rosenstein seems to be the same.

Sessions is police state guy. Boy, a lot of us including myself, were fooled into thinking that he was a constitutionalist.
Support for the BLM bullies, civil assets forfeiture, making headlines by going after potheads and doctors for coding violations, and of course the recusal protecting the biggest criminals in the DC swamp.
You have to wonder whether those old charges of rascim against sessions did have some merit after all.
