Woody Harrelson (I am not a fan) recently announced he no longer uses cannabis. Says he partied too hard for 30 years. Good for him.

I’m perfectly fine with states legalizing recreation cannabis after implementing a medical cannabis program as they are 2 distinct separate things. I think it’s also been a wise move as it shows voters that the world doesn’t come to a crashing end when folks are allowed to use cannabis. In fact, medical marijuana programs have utterly destroyed the Reefer Madness myths, IMO.

Regarding Georgia, I sincerely hope patients in the medical marijuana program are able to use cannabis in a way they, in conjunction with their licensed physician need. For instance, some ALS patience get important benefits from smoking cannabis vs vaping it. Look up Cathy Jordan, a ALS patient who’s outlived all of her doctors because she smokes cannabis daily. http://floridafoodandfarm.com/cannabis/als-patient-cathy-jordan-pot-stopped-my-disease/

As for myself, I HATE the act of smoking cannabis. It stinks, tastes bad to me, hurts my throat, etc... I prefer edibles & vaping. But if smoking helps folks with terminal illnesses, I say let them have it.

Wishing you & yours a great weekend, FRiend!

God Bless You Stickman! I read these threads and see you standing up for this wonderful substance. I have no problem with MJ, for any reason. I know many, many productive people who have used it for years (including myself). I tend to stay out of the argument because you just won’t convince people who are anti anything MJ, while probably having no problem with their nightly scotch, or their daily Xanax. I know people who worked for Boeing for 30+ years (while smoking on a daily basis) and are now retired. I could go on and on but I won’t. I’m sure some freepers will now call me a liar, especially about the Boeing part, but I just don’t care anymore. Flame away. I’d rather hit my vape than take a pill, any day. And for any anti-ers who wish to argue with me, save your time. I’ll be spending the day burning brush and helping hubby re-roof the house my Mom used to live in (at our expense, that we built for her to live in during her last 14 years of life before she passed away last December...yeah, that’s the kind of stuff us ‘stoners’ do...take care of our family, oh my!). You have a GREAT day, and keep up the good fight!

Using an exploitation film like Reefer Madness as an argument against drug laws is like using Fast and Furious 7 as an argument against speed limits.

Was Dwain Esper’s 1930s film Maniac (an adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s the Black Cat with nudity and violence) an expose of the medical profession because it had a mad scientist?

Those films existed outside of the Hollywood system and played largely to “adults only” crowds giving them content that Hollywood could not (even in a day when every city had it’s own local censor board).
