And yet CNN is still allowed to join the rest of the press corps at events. Strange.
One would think that they’d at least get their press credentials suspended for a time, if not pulled altogether. Nothing in the Constitution guarantees them access to an administration. And nothing guarantees them protection or innoculation when they spew lies.
Taken together they indicate a shocking overall failure of professional management. Almost as if they were all working on their resumes instead? Yes, it certainly does look like a pattern to "get" Trump, but it's a remarkably incompetent one - if you're going to tell lies, at least don't tell ones that fall apart at the tiniest scrutiny.
The meme scandal, though, (and I thank God we're not calling it Memegate, at least not yet), has to be one of the silliest, clumsiest abuses of power in recent memory. Come on, seriously, open extortion over that, and toward the wrong guy in any case? These are the people who presume to report the news to an increasingly skeptical country? Stick a fork in them, they're done.
