Off of Ebay I bought a Border Partrol hat —I’d been seeing some bad things that made me do this.
My computer was acting weird so I had to go to the local Apple Store.
There was a family of non English-speaking Mexicans there, they were waiting for the Spanish-speaking Apple Expert guy.
They saw my hat, walked over and DURING MY SESSION they interrupted and were saying, “Si, se puede”.
The confidence to become an illegal is sort of annoying but then to go around more or less DECLARING it to the local natives, reminding them of it is.....shocking.
There is a tacit bargain, “You be POLITE about being an illegal and I won’t ask too many questions...”
But that’s breaking down —now they’re illegal and they want to SMOOSH YOUR FACE IN IT.
