Free speech is under assault in America. And in California, free speech is being bushwhacked. People are attacked just for having patriotic bumper stickers on their cars. Trump supporters who attend rallies are threatened, assaulted, beat up, and in a weekend attack in Santa Monica, a 28-year old man was knifed nine times! The only people being attacked are Trump supporters. The media lie “both sides do it” is repugnant; both sides are not violent.

The Navy Jack flag flying from my house was set on fire shortly before the November 8th presidential election. We fly it at the behest of our son, a Naval officer, who was deployed to the Middle East at the time. It’s an historical flag. But the dunderheads who set it afire have no idea that the Navy Jack flag is flown from all commissioned naval vessels. Duh.

When the Left are willing to work with the Right on ANYTHING, or make catchall statements agreeing with the right-- back away, back away fast and count your fingers, check that your wallet is still on you, and most important of all, check to see you are not bleeding.

That media lie may well become a self-fulfilling prophecy: first, there's only so much that people will take before retaliating; second, if someone is vilified beforehand for actions not-taken then it becomes very easy to rationalize taking that action with a rationalization of I've already been blamed for it anyway.

Actually, I am kind of surprised Clanton’s lawyers haven’t trotted him out for a “Rodney King” style, “Can’t we all just get along” speech. I imagine they will, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Part of the way this is done is by defining violent leftists as being “on the right”.

For example, neo NAZIs are leftists. They are just the losing branch of leftists form WWII, when the National Socialists fought against the International Socialists, and lost.

The International Socialist then labeled the losers as being on the Right, and they have made it stick.

Similarly, if someone is simply crazy, they are labled a “rightist”.

They simply label them the way they want to, to come up with the desired result.
