Sounds like a great idea!
Most people have no idea of the real value of vehicle ownership and operating costs. In time, like in the competitive passenger lift market, this will get down to compensation levels which are very marginal. It’s like the kid down our street who delivers pizzas in a Mercedes SUV (his father’s.) That is probably not a net positive venture, unless tips for pizza delivery are much more generous than I can imagine.
It’s been done in the oil field for many years. It’s called a “hotshot” service. Unlike Uber,the DOT would be all over this.
