It’s the internet. People abbreviate/use acronyms to save time. New ones appear instantly and on a daily basis...at least they are new to me.
Any and all such acronyms can be searched within a few seconds.
It is not about ‘feeling superior’. It is about being aware of the internet culture. I search these things daily and it doesn’t make me feel inferior to do so. In the end, I’ve learned something.
Why should someone have to research others’ writings? If they are to lazy to write a coherent sentence, I won’t bother. YMMV IMOHO
