My daughter asked me once why we don't recycle. I said, "It is not economical for me to waste my time to sort through what I throw away, so that someone else can make a profit off of my work. If they want me to recycle, they need to make it worth my effort."

The only and I mean ONLY reason I play along is because it costs me less.
I once suggested to our mayor that they make trash free and charge for recycling. It costs more anyway.
