Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) has canceled a joint appearance with comedian Kathy Griffin after photographs and video surfaced of her posing with a decapitated President Trump.
Franken announced Thursday that he believes Griffin should not attend the senator's book event on July 7 in California, according to Politico.
"I believe what Kathy Griffin did was inappropriate and not something that should be be anywhere in our national discourse," Franken said. "I consider her a friend and I'm glad she realized she crossed the line and apologized."

Then Franken took some heavy body blows when he supported Kathy Griffin’s hate Trump video showing bloody head.
None of them want private sessions with the Secret Service.

A lot of stars won’t appear with someone they feel is “better” than them. Franken’s ego won’t let him appear with someone who came up with such a spectacularly brilliant bit of comedy.
/sort-of-sarc (I’m sure he loved what she did and wishes he had come up with it even if his PR team makes him read statements saying otherwise. And he’d probably love to appear with her if not for the PR team)
