You are assuming that most or many of those injured and their families would have common sense and want the bastards crushed out of existance. But the Stockholm Syndrome is strong. I’d bet 3/4 of the wounded and their loved ones are spouting the same squishy bosh about marvelous diversity and warning against unfounded islamophobia.

It’s not just Stockholm Syndrome. It’s also the the pagan craving for human sacrifice, even or especially of one’s own children. Appeasing the spirits or gods with human sacrifice is ubiquitous in pagan history.
