In the general election, I voted for nominee Trump. That is a meaningless exercise of course in my state Mexifornia. Less meaningless is that I sent money to general election candidate Trump. If that means I don’t pass your purity test, I could care less.
Purity tests aside, the fact is that Trump, in the first test of his repeated promise to build a wall, caved. Totally caved. He signed off on a budget that bans spending on wall construction. Hyped-up pictures of a minuscule length of Obama-scheduled fencing improvements don’t change that fact. Hopefully this failing will change, but until it does, “the Wall” remains political theater. If the September budget is signed without Wall funding, it becomes political swindle - right up there with “Read My Lips, No New Taxes” and “You can Keep your Health Plan”.
Yeah, ok.
At this point I ignore the whiners, because I trust this guy to want to do this, and know the opposition he faces is utterly unprecedented. Maybe some of you dont get that, or dont care.
You are free to take some of that righteousness and contact your congressman or senator to help him along at any time though.
