Cradling her newborn son in a steamy migrant shelter near the Guatemalan border, Concepcion Bautista says she still plans to reach the United States, but will linger in Mexico to see how U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration policies play out.
Bautista fled Guatemala after gang members threatened to kill her and seized her home, demanding money to give it back.
Her ultimate goal is to reunite with her father and two sons up north, but for the time being, she believes applying for asylum in Mexico is smarter than trying to break into Trump's United States....

Why dont we just give a state that nobody is using like Massachusetts, to the Guatemalans, and we just take guatemala over and turn it into a tropical paradise. I have spent 2 months there..it could be a great place. I can only imagine how awesome the entire western hemisphere could have been if spain had never stepped foot in it.
Where is the baby’s father? How did she get to Mexico with a newborn? Why did her sons leave her to the wolves down there.
Why would the gangs pick on a lone woman?
Are her relatives up here legal?
Is there any other way to help people down there than acceptance into the United States?
Unfortunately, they are taught to lie.

I’m with you. The way Massachusetts votes, they should win the Guatemala Lottery.
The violence by criminal gangs and cartels and ignored by governments in central America and Mexico is a bigger or as big a threat to us as is Islamic terrorism. They are right next door. Why can’t we just tell these governments that they need to take out their criminal element if they don’t allow us to as it is a U.S. national security issue. Those terrorists are easier to identity than than the Islamist.
As soon as they figure out we are only removing those with previous removal orders and criminal convictions, they’ll start coming again.
I dunno... I’m afraid Americas destiny is to end up being an unassimilated boarding house for The Third World.
Yeah, it was a lot better when the indigenous civilizations were hunting tropical birds to extinction to make iridescent clothing, and building magnificent cities on human skulls.
