OTOH, we already have Newsmax, The Blaze, and One America. Would these investors be better served to invest in one of those? Or would they be better served to build something from scratch?
Perhaps they should revive Paul Weyrich’s old operation, National Empowerment Television (later known as America’s Voice.)
Where would Sean go to?
I get the impression that he feels invested in Fox, and doesn’t want to start all over with a fledgling network at this stage in his career. Otherwise, Sean could have walked last summer, when Ailes and Van Sustren did.
Sean likes the stability and big show budget of Fox.
There is also that operation that has Levin and Malkin. They dumped Mark Steyn for reasons that are unclear. Steyn has proven he could have a great television program. Best of all, it wouldn’t just be an hour of talking heads.
Plotting and Considering are miles apart.
The Blaze strikes out, again.
“OTOH, we already have Newsmax, The Blaze, and One America. Would these investors be better served to invest in one of those? Or would they be better served to build something from scratch?”
Don’t those have to be the ones who were at the meeting? Who else is there?
I hope they call it The Fat Cat Network.
so the Murdochs have a winning combination, tear it apart, and can’t figure out why they are losing viewers?
Makes good business sense to me.
Trump TV.
If they hire Hannity then Fox is done. Few liberals will be caught dead watching FOX. Their ratings will be worse than MSNBC, for several years.
They should have done this 8 years ago when it became clear that all MSMs were part of the Elitist Ruling Class. (Think back to 2000 for the warning signs - on-camera delight when Al Gore was prematurely given the nomination).
A lot of conservatives have made great personal wealth from blathering about the ideology, now maybe it’s time to give back a little. And if they do it right, they’ll be positioned to earn a healthy return on investment.
Radio Free America...the Network.
Much better to add a new Conservative news network to pair with One America. To hell with Fox. Who cares if they crash and burn. As long as we have alternatives. One America News and something new from scratch gives us 2 conservative news channels to watch that will also force the MSM to address the news they break.
It’s a really good thing they axed Bill. Now Shiner, and Hannity about to join them.
Good for them. They can corner the right wing news market.
Of course buying the networks already in existance would be the easiest move, but who knows if the owners would be amenable to sharing.
I definitely think this is a possibility unless the talent from Fox has ironclad not compete contracts.
just do it.
