I haven’t read the comments below the excerpt, yet.
Saw some infrastructure “guru” being interviewed on FNC today (Fri) and he was saying his top three things would be:
- A new Kansas City airport
- Turning Union Station interior into a marketplace
- Doing the high-speed railway between Dallas and Houston
He claimed those three would create tons of jobs.
*********
IMO, he’s right that they would create jobs; but those are all projects that typically are supported by bonds and limited Federal spending.
However, the infrastructure that needs funding are the old bridges, the electrical grid, crumbling interstate and US highways, old dams, air traffic control and other projects that impact the safety and quality of life of Americans.
Theres no human civilization that developed large scale and effective infrastructure that built by a government.

Doesn’t the US Interstate Highway system count?
>Doesnt the US Interstate Highway system count?
I said it wrong:
Theres no human civilization that developed large scale and effective infrastructure that wasn’t built by a government.
