Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump’s oldest daughter, made her first oversees trip as a White House adviser earlier this week. As for how the trip went, it depends on who you ask.
U.S. media outlets widely reported that the crowd Ivanka Trump spoke to at the Women’s 20 Summit in Berlin, Germany, “booed” and “hissed” at her when she defended her father for his stance on issues such as paid leave.
“That is something I’m very proud of … long before he came into the presidency, he championed this in the primaries. He’s been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive,” Ivanka Trump said, according to CNN.
But CNN also reported Trump’s response was met with an extremely negative reaction from the audience: “German crowd hisses, boos at Ivanka when she defends her dad,” CNN’s headline, published Tuesday, blared.
CNN wasn’t the only U.S. media outlet to publish a story like this one. Time ran a story the same day titled, “Ivanka Trump Got Booed in Germany After Saying Her Father Supports Women.”
The New York Times weighed in as well: “Ivanka Trump Got Jeered in Germany, and Late Night Joins In,” the newspaper declared.
There’s just one problem with the U.S. media’s collective assessment of Ivanka Trump’s Berlin visit. It wasn’t true — at least according to the German newspaper Bild, which reported that “there was no booing of Ivanka.”(continued)

Dan Quayle once gave the commencement speech at West Point. I was there to watch it...I flew home and around 6 hours later the news was nothing but chatter about how Quayle had been booed at West Point.
That is the moment that I knew for sure the media could never be trusted, as I had heard no booing.

Listening to the audio, something changed with the microphones right when she said that.
It was like they switched mics or turned on one over the audience.
Odd reverb type of sounds. That may have had a lot to do with it as well.

No.... it did indeed happen....I was watching... and why she was asked to respond regarding her father’s comments about women. She was booed because she implied her father was supportive of women, and it was she who opened the response she got. She should have never spoken for her father rather stayed with the key issues of women in business.
You cannot believe anything Merkles news say...it’s all screened now since the refugee migration there. Merekel invited Ivanka because she wanted to ease the tensions between herself and Trump....going through his daughter was a good political move for Merkle. ...
To me it sounded as if the mic were close to a small group of women, maybe 5 or 10, who sort of groaned in reaction. But no hissing or booing.
What likely happened is some reporter used deliberately exaggerated language, for the sake of getting more attention - then the entire MSM copied.
Wish people had been watching then they wouldn’t be mislead even by this article. Ivanka is the one who brought her fathers name into this meeting....which she could have commented without mentioning him..it was not until she mentioned his support of women that she got herself into trouble.....though she dodged pretty well from then on it was she herself who created the situation.
She has yet to separate what her role is when on foreign soil....or for that matter admittedly in WAshington,...she ‘serves’ the President of the US...rather than speak as a daughter of the President.

When detestable Lester Holt’s network did the story, I believe they described it as “heckling” and “catcalls”. When they ran the video, it just sounded like an awkward silence. But no doubt about it, they ran the story as “Ivanka getting booed in Europe”. It’s just more fake news from our detestable media.
And I agree with the previous poster who said that they are the main enemy of our republic right now. They are truly vile.
Maybe it was the US reporters that booed.

I’m still livid she stated that the US is the only western nation that does not have paid leave for women..for “families”. While she was on foreign soil!!
You can easily see where’s she’s taking this as the feminist activist that she is... which she addresses herself as.
It’s for the good of the family....and oh boy when I hear someone use the family to justify their activists positions it’s a huge red light!
How could Ivanka possibly understand pregnant womens positions in regard to sustaining their family? She’s never had any worry regarding this....but like many elites is going to tell us how she knows best how to spend ‘our’ money on her activist agenda....it’s a power play because she herself looks for such.
I listened repeatedly to various videos of the incident, but other than a momentary rustle from among the crowd, no loud booing or jeering could be made out.
But consider who was making the reports. The usual suspects, CNN and the Washington Post/New York times, with some chorus from Time Magazine, all filed near-identical reports, but the German media, who were also in the room, provided a rather different interpretation.
The Germans say alot of things didn’t happen.....
German newspapers say Muslims rapefugees don’t rape German women.
On FACEBOOK, I saw every damn news organization exasperated in reporting that Ivanka got booed! It was like EVERY news organization reporting it!
The women even discussed the hissing, booing...whatever...right after it occurred....and it was live.
Sure she was... by the US Journalists who came there.
I am sure the people there had more class and dignity
When I lived in Israel I saw CNN bold face lie to the States about what was going on in Jerusalem. They figure what ever crap they shovel, we will choke down because we can not check on them.
CNN lies, for decades CNN has been lying and playing us all for fools.
The internet is now eating their lunch because finally Americans are beginning to see just how evil of a web they weave. Main Stream Media are traitors and should be treated as such.
