I’m at Desert Shield Desert Storm veteran. There is a huge difference between open desert tank warfare and today’s fight. We can win the fight against Islam, but only if we are able to name the enemy and give it no quarter. In many ways today’s fight is much more difficult. As for the changes in the military that is indicative of general social moral decay.
Thanks for your service and sacrifice.

We should start with bombing all of the mosques.
I am also a veteran of that war and cannot agree more. We had it easy, all we had to worry about was the Iraqis shooting at us and we had the green light to shoot back.
That changed in 1992 with a new president. Suddenly the right to shoot at an enemy was withdrawn, to emphasize the point Marine guards in active combat areas were ordered to stand post with empty chambers. If you did end up firing your weapon, you ran the risk of prison time, a senior enlisted Marine in our unit got sentenced to 20 years in prison for protecting himself.
I can only imagine that things got worse under Obama.
