April 19th is the date of the battle in Concord, but nowadays they do the re-enactment, and the Marathon, on ‘Patriots Day’, which is the Monday of the week that includes the 19th. That week is the Spring Holiday week for school kids as well.
I recall a morning around 5am driving off to the green in Lexington and then on to Concord.
