Looking for a full-time job that allows you to work completely from the comfort of your own home?

Global hotel chain The Hilton is looking to hire full-time "remote reservation sales associates" in 29 states, including Wisconsin.

According to the Hilton's website, employees in this position will be required to: • Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner to create a superior guest experience • Listen to and acknowledge callers, to ensure understanding of inquiries, and to deliver personalized travel solutions • Utilize solution-oriented sales skills to maximize revenue for our hotels and business partners worldwide • Provide accurate information regarding availability, sales promotions, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotels, rates, etc.

Pay for this position starts at $9/hour. However, pay incentives could bump pay up to $14/hour. Jobs benefits include discounted rates at Hilton properties for employees and their family and friends.

This is a full time 40-hour a week position but the Hilton says schedules can be flexible. Candidates must work between 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Even though this is a work-from-home position, the company requires employees to live in one of the following 29 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

Wish the pay was better, as this would be a cool p/t gig.

We enjoy staying @ Embassy Suites.

I saw this on careerbuilder in NY. But NY isn’t on the list.

At $9.00 an hour, and no doubt sales quotas, this job has only ONE thing going for it.

It is work from home. Great for a disabled person, or someone who lives in the countryside. Have to have high speed internet, dedicated land line, computer CAM, etc.

Must have a quiet environment so clients don’t know it is a work from home job.

Starting wage should be $12. per hour after training. Really. I have sat through their sales pitch - ugh.

It may have something to do with worker’s comp and payroll processing issues. My daughter manages a call center work force of 300+ people in 5 countries plus the US. They can only hire people in about 6 US states because of payroll processing issues.

...

Nothing says superior guest experience like $9 an hour.

Funny they don’t mention you sure better enjoy taking non-stop back-to-back calls for hours on end. Call center work is not easy.

I’ve done it when necessary. Beats digging ditches and puts food on the table.

I’ve done it too. Some ditches and fresh air may be better than sitting for hours on the telephone. :)

It says the job has the ability to pay $14.00/hour. Likely based on and achieved by satisfaction surveys completed at the completion of each call.

It also says these are f/t (40 hr/wk) jobs.

This is GREAT news!! Bringing jobs back to America, from Philippines, etc.

What a great opportunity for anyone who requires working from home.

Yes I thought the pay was on the low side since it’s no doubt going to call for meeting sales quotas.

But 8 til 2 isn’t full time.

8am to 2am. Of course, that’s just a range. Some poor sap isn’t going to have to answer the phone 18 hours a day.

I thought ALL liberal wanted $15 per hour as minimum wage. Shouldn’t the Queen Crone be setting an example?
