And the generals made the call without requiring Trump's approval
That makes sense, of course. You dont want any president, but especially one with no military background, micromanaging the tactical decisions on the battlefield. If wee got ISIS where we want them and we have a weapon at the ready that can take out not only a bunch of them, but a bunch of their infrastructure as well, why not?
Drop it. And thats exactly what prompted the military command to do so, without having to first check with the White House:
No battlefield was totally micromanaged by a President before the end of WWII. An exception was the use of the A bomb in 1945. Liberals we apoplectic that this Secretary of Defense and Generals know how to run a war by making tactical decisions on their own.
Our commander in chief ultimately gets responsibility for everything. Our Donald dropped the bomb and gets credit. The end.
Our boys must have done a lot of homework to "Pick One".
To the Rats, “tactical” is the equivalent of “political”
Good. Because we KNOW the Democrats would never do something like bomb an aspirin factory for political cover.
Did you notice that when making the initial announcement on TV, Trump said, “my military”? I wonder if that was deliberate and for foreign consumption, or just incidental.
Hi Spam.
NO SALE!
You also don’t want the illegal wiretaps to catch it.
How many did we build in 2003? What else do you do with them? Sell the on eBay? Might as well let some Jihads actually see Alah in a Mushroom Cloud. Those dopes cannot tell the difference. They will think they got Nuked. Good for us. These Jihads throw rocks at F18s btw. That is what we are dealing with
Dropping the MOAB made Trump look good and the international timing was perfect. I think Trump encouraged such use of force (early-on).
My apologies to all.
He is the Commander. Nothing unusual about saying "My military" Just like a Company Commander says "My Company" or a Brigade Commander says "My Brigade".
This MOAB bomb was estimated to carry 21,600 lbs of TNT. LINK
That is 10.53 tons of TNT. (1 ton = 2000 pounds)
Definition of a kiloton: LINK
The Hiroshima bomb was pegged at 15 thousand tons of TNT and the Nagasaki bomb was pegged at 21 thousand tons of TNT. LINK
