Actually, there are thousands of illegals I’d deport before I’d go after this woman. How many drug dealers did we send south today? Rapists?
However, this case does send a powerful message to Mexicans and the international publicity reinforces the fact that illegals are illegals and subject to deportation even if they’ve never committed a crime (besides being here illegally.) Maybe her family will move back to Mexico and do well thanks to health care and education they received here. Would be interesting to follow up on this case.
Yes, all true, but even under the lax immigration policies of the Obama administration she had a deportation order already, she must have done something, or failed to do something..
It is NOT that now we elected to give a deportation order, she ALREADY had a 3 year old deportation order, so she must go.
The alternative would be to review for leniency every already existing deportation order, most of which are for people that committed crimes.
Priorities should be to send away all that are already under the deportation order backlog, then create new deportation orders for rapists, drug dealers etc, prioritizing bad crimes first,
