President Donald Trump’s border wall project could get funding through an unlikely method: voluntary donations from private citizens.
The newly-founded America First Foundation, Inc., has started accepting donations to fund “the great wall of America,” with the ultimate goal of raising $21 billion to contribute to construction of the nearly 2,000 mile, 18 to 30-foot-high barrier between the U.S. and Mexico.
“This is not a joke, this is not a scam, this is the REAL DEAL!” a post on the group’s Facebook page reads.
America First’s founders want to bring the American people together to be part of what will be a historic construction project, securing the southern border by slowing illegal immigration, reduce drug trafficking, and reducing the burden on federal coffers.
Only if they allow donations from Mexico! /s

Perhaps he could take the donations as a token gesture, knowing that 97% of the needed funds will have to be approved by congress. Still, this would make a lot of Americans feel good, knowing that they individually pitched in to make this ‘miracle’ happen. If I knew exactly who was getting the money, I would consider a donation too. I would be proud to say ‘I helped to make that happen’.
For their money people should get their name printed on a brick, if they so wish.

Considering we spend $84 billion every year on illegal aliens, I say the Wall is going to pay for itself very quickly.
But, I love the Crowd Sourcing idea—very American.
I like this idea and every time someone wires money from the USA to Mexico we could shave just 5% off and donate it to the wall fund too so the Mexicans would also be involved in building a big beautiful mutual wall. They of course can graffiti the heck out of their side and make it very festive with sombreros and pinatas painted on it.
After all it’s because of Mexico that the was needs to be built in the first place. They should be part of it. I don’t even care if they don’t pay for the entire thing; the money saved with it and a secure border will pay for it in just one short year.
The DEA has enough money in confiscated drug money to build several border walls. No other funds needed.
Put a check box to direct 10 dollars from your tax return to the wall.
Said it before; charge $ 1,000 a brick for engraved and $500 for just your name. It would sell out in a month.

If Congress refuses to fund it, this may be the only way to get it done.
And get it done we must.
