No Prowlers anymore, all F/A-18 E/F Growlers. My gawd they’re loud!

I worked on several commercial and military airports. in my experience the Prowlers were far and away the loudest. Made F15’s sound like humming birds.

Worked on Whidbey in 1998-99. Always hated the first of each month when they got their new fuel supply shipment in. Those planes seemed to take off and land non-stop every day until about the last week of each month when they would run low on fuel and curtail most training flights.

The Marine Corps will be flying EA-6B Prowlers until 2019. Still have 3 squadrons at MCAS Cherry Point NC. One squadron is in Yuma AZ for the biannual WTI Exercise.
