HuffPo, Twitter mock Mike Pence for respecting his wife in his dealings with other women

One more reason we should not be allowing the left to decide how marriages work in this culture

If you don’t know anything at all about Christian ethics or faith-related teachings on marriage - and judging from the Twitterverse and fans of the Huffington Post, they don’t - you might find it strange that Mike Pence restrains his behavior in certain ways out of respect for his wife. Now, if you were a serious person, or even just a curious one, you might want to learn more about why he does these things. He’s had a pretty darn successful marriage, after all, so the Pences must be doing something right.

There is never, ever a good reason for a married man to take anyone but his wife out to eat. Why do liberals think it’s sexist for him to honor his wife? My wife and I practice the same rule. I’m sure there are many lonely divorced men and women who wish they or their ex had followed that policy.

His wife is a WOMAN - if he had a HUSBAND - he would be a hero to the progressives.

More evidence that the left is intent on destroying our successful, Judeo-Christian morality for an abnormal society where freedom of speech is prohibited, if it is not ‘politically acceptable’.

I think every successful loving long term couple has some spoken and unspoken ground rules that work for them. They may vary somewhat from couple to couple, but what works... works. End of story.

It isn’t just a matter of defending marriage as an institution. It’s also a matter of protecting yourself from accusations that can destroy your career and your family.

This. It’s why my previous pastor never met with a women without his wife or another woman present.

If Pence were a muzzie they’d be cool with him making his wife walk three steps behind him, wearing a full chattel and not being allowed to drive.

Because they all are classless swine. I understand perfectly why Pense does those things. Because some scanky, low life democrat skank would jump in an elevator with him, tear her blouse and call rape. Or the scum mainstream media would take pictures of him dining with a woman who happened to be in the administration and it would be Peyton Place and fodder for the msm swine.

Many non-religious people follow the very same practice.

It’s called respect.

I’m a man in a position of authority over several women at work. I never meet one-on-one without the door being wide open. If I have to chastise, or worse fire, a woman, an event in which the door has to be closed, I make sure a female of supervisor rank is also present. Afterward we immediately write up the incident and sign and date it. And of course I would never go out to dinner with them unless it was as a group. It’s the low trust world the Left has created for us.

It’s not unusual at all for business people to go out for a meal together. The key is to always include a third person (or more).

It is always good for a relationship if both partners maintain both fidelity in fact and also fidelity in appearance.

A guy shared an office, with privacy, with a woman coworker (a Liberal). She made a false accusation of sexual harassment. After that he made sure to never share an office (room) with a female coworker.

The barking moonbats on the left are loosing their collective minds over Veep Pence because he’s playing it smart and actually believes the concept of Holy Matrimony means something. He’s just doing what any responsible public figure should do, CYA. Avoiding any appearances of impropriety. Even the gossip rags would be hard pressed to come up with any dirt on him, even if it is fake news. Well played, Mr. VP!
