QUESTION for Freepers, esp. attorneys.

CAn North Carolina (or any state), ban a private organization from doing business in that state if the state feels that it has been a subject of an extortion effect by the organization to promote their goals, business, etc?

I would love to see the NCAA banned from doing any thing (sports are businesses even at the college level) in NC.

Could the state, in the alternative, forbid any state university/college etc that receives State funds, from participating in the NCAA system (as opposed to letting privately funded schools do what they want)?

The basis would be, again, the NCAA’s extortion methods used to get the state to repeal a legal act of law.

Somehow we have got to fight back furiously against the self-declared leftist guardians of morality who cross state lines to impose their will on the state and local matters I matters of religion, safety, immigration issues, welfare, etc.

I’m not talking about “good Samaritan” organizations who do charitable work or educational activities, etc. Only those who have politicized the basis powers of the state to deal with their own citizens and issues.

[[I would love to see the NCAA banned]]

Great suggestion- IF NC had any cahones at all- they would have countered the sick perverted demands of the NCAA by BANNING them from entering the state!
