Donald J. Trump: Punk Rock President
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/27/17 | Jim O'Neill

Posted on 03/27/2017 5:57:46 PM PDT by Sean_Anthony

[John Lydon—Johnny Rotten, “Sex Pistols”] said the unconventional outsider President Trump was a type of punk rock politician who was being unfairly attacked by the media establishment.

He dubbed Mr. Trump “a complicated fellow”, adding: “As one journalist once asked me, is he the political Sex Pistol? In a way.”

When host Piers Morgan described Mr. Trump as “the archetypal anti-establishment figure”, Mr. Lydon said: “Dare I say, a possible friend.”

Liam Deacon “The Working Class Have Spoken”

Punk rock icon John Lydon (“Johnny Rotten”) recently opined that President Trump is “in a way” a political punk rocker. Before dismissing such a notion out of hand let’s see how Trump scores on a punk rock check list:

Anti-establishment? Check.
Insults and ridicules elites? Check.
Gives the establishment the heebie-jeebies? Check.
Loud and rude at times? Resonates with the working class? Gives media the finger? Check, check, and big check.
So, there you have it, apparently, the United States of America has its first punk rock president. A punk rock president with the Divine Hand of Providence upon him—now there’s a sight you don’t see every day.

Lydon is a two faced liar / bs-er / chameleon ...Here’s what he said last October :

Here is what he said : October 2016 :

” He ( Trump ) deeply concerns me. It reminds me of when I was very young. The Cuban Missile Crisis, how tense that was. And if this maniac gets in we will be there all over again in a flying fart’s second. He is not a deep thinker. What he is, he’s a businessman, which means greedy and selfish. So he is only interested in considering his own point of view – which in his case is only his ego. And that makes him very, very irresponsible to the rest of us. “ ( John Lydon )

I have a liberal in-law who fawned over Obama for being a ‘deep thinker’... for the life of me I have no clue what that means... in libtard speak... My guess, it is code for ‘pot head’?

Lydon’s a default anarchist. Hard to square with populism, but maybe he appreciates Trump’s vigor and has the sense to realize they have some common names on their “to-do” lists.

Then again, maybe he’s full of it. Plenty of celebs in that category.

It's marketing speak. Buzzwords meant to make Liberals feel all tingly.

Have you seen the YouTube spoof on the buzzwords used in those Chevy commercials? It's hilarious. "Initial quality? I don't even know what that means! Does that mean initially it's okay, but then 30 days later, it's a piece of crap?"

I get the 'concept'... but I never saw anything out of Obama that suggested he thought any deeper than ah, ah, I, I, I, ah, ah, .... until his handlers suited him up with the traveling teleprompter... by the way this liberal in-law is a Notre Dame undergrad ... educationally speaking, no slouch. I cannot 'see' what he 'sees' in this 'deep thinker' cloud.

She's kind of a queen and that's pretty insulting. Maybe the Germans should build the wall. Very punk...

I always loved the Pistols... John wrote a book a few years ago that was quite good... I didn’t know that he had spinal meningitis as a child and completely lost his memory before age 12... so growing up in an industrial area of a dying country with the world being “brand new” to you at 13 probably lead to his strangely open expressions about the world around him. He’s one of the good guys in my book.
