When was the last time a congressional investigation accomplished anything? Indictments, etc. Someone help me...

Congress has no prosecutorial authority. Congress has the ‘power of the purse’, determines organizational responsibility, and can impeach and remove officials at will.

Since Congress does not exert the authority to which it is entitled, the courts and the bureaucracy have their way, like teenagers under no parental authority and with access to credit cards.
