This is kinda funny: As I was reading this, a presenter in my meeting was displaying his background computer image on the projected image. It was of Venice. Everybody said how beautiful it was. I said I saw a plumbing and wiring nightmare of crumbling buildings.

I guess it’s a perception thing.

But this article speaks to why I love my new home in rural KY after spending 46 years in Seattle. Seattle has some very pretty places, but a LOT of absolute pits. The same is true here, but I have my own 32 acres to make of what I want. I’m working on hiking and mountain bike trails around my streams right now.

A common theme that you often hear. Liberalism is one big Potemkin Village. People want to get away from the crime, congestion, corruption, taxes, and general malaise of the big cities that are run by liberals.
