A question I’ve often wondered - if you commit a sin and don’t know it, are you guilty? Many women are told their baby is not alive but a “blob of flesh” then find out the truth later. I can’t answer that question but someday we all will face the Lord and answer to Him. What will be the fate of the liars? I’m more sure of what happens to them.

Without His grace and forgiveness every one of us deserves Hell. Not just the abortionists, homosexuals, criminals or cheats. EVERY ONE of us.

Why would anyone believe what they are told..i.e. its a blob of flesh. Everyone knows better unless they don’t want to.

I should just put it in my profile page at this point. Ignore anything about other religions; think Rambam was pissy about forced conversions.

A question I’ve often wondered - if you commit a sin and don’t know it, are you guilty?

Yes, one is guilty of any sin committed against the Father as revealed in the Word; however, when one comes to a late realization of it, this is a blessing, because now one is ready to repent. We are born into sin and cannot help ourselves from getting dirty as we climb out of the slime, but the Lord looks for us to learn and grow in the Word, and He loves a contrite heart.

There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. —Luke 15:7

Does this mean that if many of our sins are unrecognized by us, that we will be condemned when we get to Judgment? Jesus taught:

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. —Matthew 7:2

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. —Matthew 12:36

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. —Luke 6:37

So it appears that there will be an accounting and a reconciliation, so that the overall intention of your life to drive out sin will be taken into consideration, as far as unrecognized sin is concerned. The key here is that once we recognize a sin in our lives, we can't just keep on sinning and say, "Oh, I'll be forgiven for this." Once the conscience knows of it, it's up to us to repent of it and work to extinguish it.
